OS seems a bit improved, at least from an inflammatory point of view. It seems to be non-painful. I will reach out to an ophthalmologist about the total lack of PLR - since birds have voluntary control over the iris you would think that there would be some reflex, even if it does not seem associated w/ light or vision. 
Will continue Pred 1 more week SID, to reduce handling. Dr Gardner

OS shows some clearing of inflammation from last week. Although very abnormal the pecten is visible today, which is an improvement. There is still widespread damage and the eye will likely not be visible, although there is a chance that he regains partial vision in the ventral aspect of the eye where the retina is less damaged. However, there is also a possibility that the iris muscle itself is damaged, since it is not moving at all>
Continue Pred and meloxicam and recheck in 1 week. Dr Gardner

BADO found at intersection in Charlotte, susp HBC. On admission, bird was quiet in box, standing, reacted to being grabbed and bitey in hand. Noticed that OS was soft and leaking. NSF on PE other than eye damage. Didn't stain the eyes, but I wonder if the eye will reinflate. Otherwise, this bird is a potential candidate for evisceration. Banded and set up in KR2 kennel and bird stood at front.
